Screenwriter John Logan signed for Bond 24 and 25

John Logan has reportedly signed for the next two James Bond films according to reports, and has already begun work on Bond 24. This does fit in with the news from early summer that Eon were looking to sign a writer or writers imminently and, earlier this week, that long time writers Purvis and Wade were moving on.

Logan is said to have pitched a two film story arc to Barbara Broccoli and Michadl G Wilson while Skyfall was still filming. The report also speculates that the two films could be shot back to back, but there appears to be no evidence that this has yet been suggested.

Sony is keen to release a new film every two years, meaning Bond 24 in 2014 and Bond 25 in 2016. However, this depends on the cooperation of Eon Productions, who have only released three films since the 40th anniversary film, Die Another Day, a decade ago.
