Ian Fleming Publications unveils new logo celebrating 70 years of 007

New logo revealed ahead of Ian Fleming’s books being published by new IFP imprint later this year.

Yesterday IFP revealed the new logo in a brief statement on their website.

In celebration of Casino Royale turning 70 this year, we are beyond thrilled to share our brand new logo. Here’s to a Bond-tastic 2023. Stay tuned for more exciting announcements.

Although it doesn’t make it clear, it seems that this new logo is to celebrate seventy years since Casino Royale was first published rather than being a new logo for IFP. That seems to remain as it was, Ian Fleming’s signature and a doctor bird.

There’s not really much to comment on. They are using the rather obvious mirror of 70 with 007 and the numerals are in the Tea Chest font, or something like it. Many of the original dust jackets used the font, which was designed by Ian Fleming’s friend and colleague, Robert Harling.

It’s not much to go on. We’ll just have to keep an eye on those promised exciting announcements!
