Ian Fleming Publications unveil an exciting slate of releases for 2025

New collection of rare Ian Fleming writing steals the spotlight in IFP’s line-up for the year ahead.

While 2025 brings plenty of exciting literary projects for Bond fans, the most anticipated release is a long-overdue exploration of Ian Fleming’s work beyond his famous spy novels. The highlight of the year comes on 22nd May, when Talk of the Devil: The Collected Writings of Ian Fleming will be published. This collection of Fleming’s non-fiction writings spans his career as a journalist, travel writer, and wartime intelligence officer.

The book features Fleming’s contributions to The Sunday Times, Second World War documents, travel essays, and even correspondence with his friend and fellow writer Raymond Chandler. What makes this release even more special is the inclusion of newly unearthed articles that have not been seen in over half a century. For fans of 007, this is a rare opportunity to delve deeper into the mind of the man who created one of the most enduring characters in modern fiction.

The UK edition is available to pre-order now, and HarperCollins will publish the US edition. This release, timed to coincide with Fleming’s birthday, is certain to be a standout for Bond fans this year.

Following their release in the US last year, new audio editions of all fourteen of Ian Fleming’s Bond novels, along with his non-fiction titles Thrilling Cities and The Diamond Smugglers, will finally arrive in the UK on 29th January.

Narrated by an impressive roster of actors, including Richard Armitage (Casino Royale), Adjoa Andoh (Live and Let Die), and Mark Gatiss (From Russia with Love), these recordings breathe fresh life into Fleming’s timeless stories. Whether revisiting old favourites or discovering them for the first time, Bond fans will have plenty to enjoy.

In February, the Ian Fleming Estate will launch a collaboration with the Stamford Notebook Company to produce a series of high-quality notebooks. These bespoke notebooks, available in four distinct finishes and embossed with the gold hummingbird logo, offer a stylish way to jot down ideas—whether they involve a daring espionage plot or your everyday plans. A limited number will be available exclusively online.

Fans of Kim Sherwood’s Double O series can look forward to A Spy Like Me, which will hit US shelves in paperback on 8th April. The globe-trotting thriller gives readers enough time to catch up with the series before the third instalment arrives.

Meanwhile, a new prestige hardback edition of Ian Fleming’s Chitty Chitty Bang Bang will release on 23rd April, featuring John Burningham’s classic illustrations. The book will be available as a standalone or in a special edition that includes an exclusive art print—a perfect gift for new and longtime fans of Fleming’s beloved children’s story.

In October, the Ian Fleming Estate will launch The Q Mysteries, a new series focusing on Major Boothroyd—better known to Bond fans as Q. The first book, Quantum of Menace, promises to give readers a fresh take on Fleming’s world of intrigue and invention.

Stay tuned for more

With even more projects in the works, the Ian Fleming Estate has hinted at exciting announcements still to come. Fans are encouraged to follow the Estate’s social media channels and sign up for email updates to stay informed about upcoming releases.
