Amazon MGM returns to CinemaCon on 15th April with an industry presentation that could offer a meaningful signal on Bond 26.

CinemaCon begins next Monday in Las Vegas, bringing together the global cinema industry for a week of studio presentations focused on the future of theatrical releases.
Held annually at Caesars Palace, CinemaCon is built around exhibitors — the companies that own and operate cinemas — and not fans. Studios use the event to present their upcoming slate, outline strategy, and reinforce confidence in films intended for the big screen. The emphasis is on direction and scale rather than detailed announcements.
Amazon MGM is scheduled to present on 15th April. For Bond fans, the question is simple: whether Bond 26 is referenced, and how.
Amazon’s first appearance in 2025 provides a clear point of comparison.
The presentation opened with the theme from Goldfinger, placing Bond at the front of the studio’s identity. Later, producers Amy Pascal and David Heyman — announced only days earlier — were confirmed to be in London working on Bond 26. No further details were given.
At the end of the event, Bond appeared again within a closing video tribute to MGM’s past and its future under Amazon. Its position at the close of the presentation underlined its place within the studio’s long-term slate.
That is the reference point going into this year.
Bond 26 remains in development. Denis Villeneuve is attached as director, with Steven Knight writing the script. No casting has been announced and production doesn’t appear to be close.
Any reference at CinemaCon is likely to reflect that stage.
However, detailed announcements are unlikely. CinemaCon presentations are used to outline direction rather than confirm specifics for films that are not yet in production.
The value lies in how Bond is included, if it is included at all.
Individual stories only tell you so much. To understand where Bond is actually heading, you need to see how it all fits together.
