Burlington Arcade celebrates SPECTRE’s Day of the Dead

Celebrate Day of the Dead with costumes, cocktails, and exclusive SPECTRE memorabilia at Burlington Arcade.

In a tribute to James Bond’s Mexican escapades in SPECTRE, London’s Burlington Arcade is transforming its current 007 Bar & Boutique into a vivid Day of the Dead celebration. From 31st October through to 2nd November, Bond fans can immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the film’s iconic opening sequence, complete with authentic costumes, props, and a selection of themed cocktails.

In SPECTRE fans will remember the stunning pre-credits scene where Daniel Craig’s 007 stealthily navigates a vast Día de muertos parade through Mexico City. This unforgettable sequence was celebrated for its intensity and visual impact, and it now finds a new home in the heart of Mayfair. At the 007 Bar & Boutique, visitors can marvel at original handmade props from the film and explore costumes sourced directly from the Eon Archive, offering a rare glimpse into Bond’s world behind the scenes.

The Day of the Dead theme extends to limited-edition collectibles, including the Día de muertos 2024 poster, a piece designed by the original SPECTRE art team, and available exclusively at this event. Bond fans looking to add something unique to their collection can also browse the boutique’s full range of officially licensed merchandise, from ready-to-wear items to exclusive Bond accessories.

Adding to the event’s allure, the 007 Bar will be serving cocktails inspired by the colours and flavours of Día de muertos, bringing Mexican flair into each glass. To elevate the experience, traditional Day of the Dead treats will be served, but only on Saturday, 2nd November, for those keen to toast Bond in true SPECTRE fashion.

Burlington Arcade, an iconic London landmark known for its heritage and craftsmanship, first opened in 1819 and remains home to an array of luxury brands and independent boutiques. Spanning 196 yards from Piccadilly to Burlington Gardens, this renowned location is steeped in British history, with its famed Beadles – the oldest and smallest police force in Britain – still enforcing the arcade’s rules against whistling, running, and other disruptions.

With exclusive access to a stunning blend of Bond memorabilia and a theatrical Day of the Dead celebration, the 007 Bar & Boutique at Burlington Arcade promises to be the ultimate destination for Bond fans this Halloween season.
