Agora Models has announced a 1/8 scale replica of the Citroën 2CV from For Your Eyes Only, faithfully reimagined in astonishing detail for their James Bond Collection.

It was the car that bounced through olive groves, dodged bullets and Peugeots, and proved — to anyone who needed reminding — that 007 could drive the wheels off anything. Now, the battered yellow Citroën 2CV from For Your Eyes Only returns in the form of a big-scale collector’s model, courtesy of Agora Models.
Created using 3D laser scans of an original 2CV along with footage from the film, the kit comes pre-painted in over 450 parts and can be built in two versions: factory-fresh or screen-accurate, complete with movie-style bullet holes and dings. Measuring nearly half a metre in length and weighing around 5kg, the finished model also includes working electrics, a roll-back sunroof, opening panels, and a lovingly reproduced 602cc twin-cylinder engine.
What sets this release apart is the level of authenticity offered. Builders can choose to assemble the car as it looked before the infamous chase, or opt for a battle-scarred finish — bullet-shot wing mirror, boot, and even speedometer included. The horn works, the seats are sprung with twelve individual coils each, and the rear light can be made to look shattered from gunfire. It’s a Bond car for the purist and the completist alike.
Bond fans will recall that the car features in one of the most offbeat chase sequences in the series. With his Lotus Esprit Turbo prematurely incinerated by a self-destruct, Roger Moore’s Bond is left no choice but to commandeer Melina Havelock’s banana-yellow Citroën. What follows is a chaotic, agricultural descent through the Greek countryside as Bond and Melina flee Hector Gonzales’s henchmen. The sequence, filmed with remarkable stunt precision, eschews gadgetry for grit, with Bond making the most of the Citroën’s humble engineering.
Director John Glen, seeking to bring Bond back to Earth after the extravagance of Moonraker, selected the 2CV as the deliberate opposite of Q Branch’s usual offerings. Pierre-Jules Boulanger, Citroën’s original engineer, once described the car as “a chaise longue under an umbrella” — and in For Your Eyes Only, it becomes a kind of four-wheeled punchline, made potent by Bond’s driving.
Shipping is set for spring 2026, and pre-orders are now open at Agora Models’s website.
