Bond returns to the big screen in Culver City with 4K screenings

James Bond is back on the big screen in Los Angeles, as The Culver Theater and To Live and Let Die in LA launch a new 4K screening series.

Organised by To Live and Let Die in LA, the bi-monthly event, From Culver with Love: Bond on the Big Screen, will showcase classic James Bond films in restored and remastered editions, accompanied by themed pre-shows, special introductions, and—naturally—martinis.

The series kicks off on 25th March with Dr No, the 1962 film that introduced Sean Connery as 007. The screening will transport audiences to Jamaica as Bond investigates the murder of a fellow agent, encountering assassins, a fire-breathing “dragon,” and the sinister Dr No.

On 27th May, Timothy Dalton takes centre stage in The Living Daylights, marking his 1987 debut as a tougher, grittier Bond. The film follows 007 from Czechoslovakia to Afghanistan as he uncovers a conspiracy involving defectors, arms dealers, and a potential global conflict.

The third confirmed screening, Thunderball, arrives on 29th July, celebrating its 60th anniversary. Bond fans will see Connery’s 007 face off against Emilio Largo in a battle for stolen nuclear warheads, with stunning underwater sequences and the iconic Bond girl, Domino.

The series continues on 23rd September with Pierce Brosnan’s Die Another Day, which sees Bond betrayed, imprisoned, and ultimately facing off against a diamond-smuggling villain with a deadly space weapon. Finally, A View to a Kill screens on 25th November, marking Roger Moore’s final outing as 007, where he battles the ruthless Max Zorin, played by Christopher Walken, in a plot involving microchips and a catastrophic plan to destroy Silicon Valley.

With a carefully curated line-up, themed cocktails, and a cinematic experience fit for MI6’s best, From Culver with Love is a must for Bond fans in Los Angeles. The first three screenings are already available for purchase, and can be found at the links below:
