Filming on Norway’s Atlantic Road appears to have started today but with one surprise.

Norwegian tabloid VG this morning published an article with an embedded video of an Aston Martin used to film a sequence in Bond 25.
The car is driving along a section of road with cameras mounted on a helicopter. The spectacular road is closed to regular road traffic while filming takes place.
However, the Aston Martin in question is not from the current lineup and nor is it a DB5. Rather, it appears to be a V8 Vantage as seen in The Living Daylights (1987). It’s number plate even matches the car used in Timothy Dalton’s first outing as 007.
This isn’t entirely surprising to me, after attending an Aston Martin driving day on Saturday. When asked about Bond 25, a rep from the company didn’t directly say that the company was not involved in Bond 25. However, she did say Aston Martin looked forward to renewing their relationship with 007 in future films.
Stunt driver Ben Collins told me he “believed” he would be involved, although he claimed to know neither when nor where his filming would take place. I’m guessing he’ll be driving the DB5 in Italy some time during August and September.
