A look at the most recent release of the James Bond audio books.
These days, with a large proportion of people owning smartphones and tablet computers, the choices for consuming content is much more varied. Yes, we can read the James Bond novels and short stories in book form, but they are also available for Kindle or to listen to in audio book form.
All the original Ian Fleming stories were released as audio books by AudioGO in 2012 under the 007 Reloaded banner.
Recorded by a variety of actors, they are completely unabridged, which can be one of the limitations of the format.
Unfortunately AudioGO went out of business in 2013 and so the recordings had limited availability for a time. However, they now published by Ian Fleming Publications and available direct from Amazon.
Although I prefer to read books – on both paper and in Kindle format – many people don’t have time, are in jobs that require them to drive and want to pass the time, or simply prefer to listen to books. At the end of the day these devices are designed to make our lives easier and in the case of books that means giving us more choices and making it easier to buy.
Below is a list of the James Bond audio books by Ian Fleming but some of the continuation novels are also available.
