Maud Adams was born in Luleå, Sweden on 12th February 1945.
Initially working as a model in Paris and then New York, she began being offered television roles in 1970s shows such as Hawaii Five-O and Kojak.
Her first major role was in The Man With The Golden Gun (1974) with Roger Moore, when she played sacrificial lamb Andrea Anders.
Nine years later Cubby Broccoli invited her back to play the title role in Octopussy (1983), but she was also an extra in A View to a Kill (1985) after she visited the Bond crew on set. She and her boyfriend were asked by director John Glen to be crowd extras.
