Samantha Bond, who played Miss Moneypenny during Pierce Brosnan tenure as 007, was born in London on 27th November 1961.
The third actress to play M’s secretary is known mainly for her appearances on British television, including the hugely popular period drama Downton Abbey.
Bond announced she would retire from the role when Brosnan retired as 007, and the first two Daniel Craig films were without the character of Moneypenny.
