Birthday of 007 editor and director Peter Hunt [1925]

The editor of the early James Bond films and director of On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, Peterf Hunt, was born on 11th March 1925 in London.

Hunt was editor on the first four Bond films and introduced a fast paced style that helps lend a unique style to the series. On You Only Live Twice he directed the second unit and finally directed the main unit in George Lazenby’s only outing as 007.

Hunt went on to direct a handful of films and his work on TV included episodes of the British television series, The Persuaders! (1971), with Roger Moore and Tony Curtis.
