Eon Productions and partners have confirmed that Skyfall earned £20.1 million up until Sunday, making it the most successful opening weekend for a Bond film ever. The film went on general release accross the UK and Ireland on Friday, opening in 587 cinemas. Feedback has been overwhelmingly positive and it is also the first 007 film to receive an IMAX release.
