Sky announces new 007 channel in HD

Sky Movies recently grabbed the rights to show all the James Bond films in HD, breaking ITV’s monopoly on the franchise going back to 1975. However, Sky has just announced that it will launch a dedicated 007 channel in October to show all 22 films without breaks.

Sky has secured the rights for just a year, and so it is possible that James Bond will return to ITV following that. And it should also be noted that the channel will be available for just one month, launching on October 5th, coinciding exactly with the UK premiere of Dr No, until November 4th.
