Remarks by Barbara Broccoli get Irish hopes up for Bond 24

Barbara Broccoli told reporters at an event in Ireland “we’ll come here. Ireland is gorgeous. I’d love to come here and make a Bond film.”

Broccoli and John Logan, who co-wrote Skyfall and is currently involved on Bond 24, attended an Institute of Directors event at the weekend in support of the film industry in Ireland.

While the local media has jumped on Broccoli’s remarks, it seems more likely that her comment was little more than a polite reply to an unimaginative question. Also, Logan revealed that the Bond 24 script is currently a work in progress, an expected state of affairs a year before shooting is due to commence.
