Paul Haggis to receive Writers Guild Award

Paul Haggis, who cowrote the screenplays for Casino Royale and then Quantum of Solace, will receive an award from the Writers Guild of America at an ceremony in New York on Valentine’s Day.

The Ian McClellan Hunter Award for Career Achievement was established in 1992 to honour a guild member for his or her entire body of work in film and television.

Haggis’ script for ‘Quantum’ was unfinished as it went into production owing to the writers strike at the time. It was worked on by Daniel Craig and director Marc Forster during filming.
