Sky Atlantic is planning a drama based on the life of Ian Fleming, according to the Radio Times and other media sources.
The series, titled simply Fleming, will be in four parts and star Dominic Cooper as the author and journalist who worked in Naval Intelligence during the second world war and spent every winter from 1952 onwards at his home in Jamaica tapping out the 007 books on his typewriter.
Cooper, who counts Mamma Mia and My Week With Marilyn among his credits, doesn’t much look like the James Bond author, but Fleming’s life was certainly interesting enough to deserve a television series.
