Hulu, an American company offering TV on demand, is to produce a documentary on George Lazenby as part of a new series on popular culture.
After doing everything in his power to land the role for On Her Majesty’s Secret Service despite having no movie experience at all, Lazenby famously quit the role of 007 before the release of his only Bond film on the advice of his manager.
As well as looking at the James Bond series the new series, Limelight Documentary, will also investigate the creator of Batman. The move is part of Hulu’s move to produce original content in line with competitors such as Netflix.
