David Arnold confirms Thomas Newman for Bond 24

Speaking recently to Digital Spy, David Arnold confirmed he will not be returning for Bond 24, saying:

“Sam Mendes is directing and he always works with Tom Newman”.

While that is not quite from the horse’s mouth, it is at least from the mouth of the extended 007 family.

However, he reiterated his desire to return to the series should the opportunity present itself and said that he remains in contact with Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, producers of the Bond franchise.

Arnold went on to reveal his favourite Bond music (the ski chase from On Her Majesty’s Secret Service) and the potential artists for future Bond theme songs.

Although this was widely expected, at The James Bond Dossier we are big fans of Arnold’s work on Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace in particular and missed his work on Skyfall.
