Christoph Waltz discusses his role in SPECTRE

Collider recently spoke to Christoph Waltz while promoting the movie Big Eyes and took the opportunity to quiz him about his role in SPECTRE.

When asked if his character would turn out to be Ernst Stavro Blofeld he enigmatically replied, “No.  No.  It’s more interesting than that.”

Officially his character is named Oberhauser, the surname of a character who appears in the short story Octopussy. How much of that will make it into the new film is anyone’s guess, but in the book Hannes Oberhauser was a surrogate father to Bond.
