Bond 24 will begin “in earnest in April”

I’ve just glanced at today’s Sunday Times, which features an interview with Skyfall and Bond 24 director Sam Mendes in the Culture section (at least in the international edition printed in Spain, which is a slightly different format to the UK edition).

Although the article says little about 007, focusing more on Mendes’ production of King Lear, it does state that next “is another Bond, which begins in earnest in April”, while the interviewer asks when he will cast Simon Russell Beale (also interviewed for his role in King Lear) as a Bond villain.

The Sunday Times operates behind a paywall these days so no link to the online version unfortunately.
