Bond 24 rumour: Christopher Nolan approached to direct next 007 film

Dark Knight director Christopher Nolan has been approached by Eon Productions to direct Bond 24, according to an article on the Mail Online today.

According to Baz Bamigboye, who got a number of Skyfall scoops (including Eve being Miss Moneypenny), the director has been involved in informal talks with Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli. Nolan is known to be a big Bond fan, although he may have second thoughts of being involved right after the massive success of Skyfall.

The article says that Mendes told Bamigboye that the film would require a year to 18 months preproduction followed by a six month shoot, with the plan to shoot the followup soon after. Given those timelines Bond 24 would appear in 2015, with Bond 25 (probably Daniel Craig’s last) in 2017.
