With Bond 22 now shooting, Jeffrey Wright, who played CIA agent Felix Leiter in Casino Royale, has signed to reappear in Bond 22 according to a Variety article repeated by MI6. Also confirmed is Gemma Arterton in the role of “Fields” and although details of her character are not available a Danjaq rep is quoted as saying “it’s a nice-sized role.”
MI6 also says that a decision on the Bond girl has not yet been taken but the actress would be announced within a fortnight. While it may sound tight for casting announcements to be made after shooting has started, remember that a similar situation occurred with the announcement of Eva Green as Vesper Lynd.
Meanwhile photos of both Daniel Craig and Judi Dench have been published while filming separately in London.
