Adele hits iTunes number one in under ten hours with Skyfall

Adele looks like she has another hit on her hands after Skyfall went to the number 1 spot on iTunes in just 10 hours. The single was released at 0:07 hours and, coinciding with Global James Bond Day, marking the 50th anniversary of Dr No, has received a massive publicity boost. According to a report in the Daily Mail, if fans continue buying the song it will be her fourth number one single in the UK.

The song has gone down well so far with Bond fans and is certainly better than “Another Way To Die”, by Alicia Keys and Jack White for Quantum of Solace.
