Adele awarded MBE at the Palace

Skyfall singer Adele was yesterday awarded an MBE at a ceremony at Buckingham Palace. The Prince of Wales made the award for services to music (which since she is a singer amounts to showing up for work).

She has enjoyed massive success with her first two albums and knocked Madonna off her pedestal for the the longest run at the top of the UK album charts for a female artist, as well as being the first woman with two singles and two albums in the UK top five simultaneously.
