Skyfall added another $5.1 million to its box office receipts in Chine on Monday when it went on general release its last remaining major territory, 14% ahead of The Dark Knight Rises.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Sony sources say that films that open on Monday, such as the latest Bond and Batman movies, usually do not do so well.
Skyfall opened on more than 8,000 screens and earned three times the amount of Quantum of Solace on its opening day.
