On Her Majesty’s Secret Service

On Her Majesty's Secret Service

After saving Tracy Di Vicenzo from drowning herself on a beach, James Bond promises her mobster father, Marc Ange Draco, to carry on seeing her in exchange for details of the whereabouts of Ernst Stavro Blofeld, head of SPECTRE.

Directed by Marc Ange to a lawyer in Bern, 007 discovers Blofeld is comminicating with the Royal College of Arms in an attempt to claim the title Comte Balthazar de Bleuchamp.

Bond poses as genealogist Sir Hillary Bray to meet Blofeld at his clinic set atop a Swiss mountain peak where he uncovers Blofeld’s plot to unleash a biological attack through his patients who have been brainwashed through hypnosis into becoming his “Angels of Death”.

James bond must escape from SPECTRE in time to report his findings back to M and stop the biological agents from being used.

What we say

While On Her Majesty’s Secret Service returned the series to Ian Fleming, George Lazenby’s lack of acting experience lets down a great score, good alpine action and the classic Blofeld lair.
