Licence To Kill

After assisting the DEA in the capture of drug baron Franz Sanchez in mid air, James Bond attends the wedding of his CIA buddy Felix Leiter.

However, after Sanchez escapes custody, 007 finds Sanchez has exacted his revenge on Leiter by raping and murdering his bride, while  Leiter is maimed by being thrown to the sharks.

When M orders Bond on an assignment in Turkey he resigns and with his licence to kill withdrawn flees MI6 and goes rogue. Bond manages to infiltrate the drug smuggling operation and uncovers how vast quantities of drugs are being shipped, as he tracks down Sanchez on a personal mission of revenge.

What we say

Timothy Dalton’s return as James Bond was a real disappointment and while it incorporates material from the novel Live And Let Die, it lacks the sense of being a James Bond film and the plot is rather confused
