James Bond box set - the ultimate edition containing 40 DVDs

What do you get if you take all 20 James Bond films, improve the picture quality and remaster the sound to Dolby 5.1 surround sound?

The answer is the James Bond Ultimate Editions box set, a set of 40 discs that is available in a limited edition attache case from July 17th 2006.

In addition to the 20 films, the James Bond box set includes extra features, including documentries and commentries by Roger Moore and Pierce Brosnan.

Although the films are widely available on DVD, many people are likely to upgrade their collection for the remastered sound alone. In these days of home cinema the difference in sound quality, already demonstrated on the release of Thunderball.

As well as all 20 DVDs titles the attache case there are 4 sets of 5 disks each, although as usual it’s a nuisance that they mix the eras up so much rather than provide them in chronological order.
